I have a 10mm cushion cut stone, but in the RhinoGold gemstudio, cushion cut stones are not available...
How do i design a bexel for a cushion cut stone without the proper dimensions for a 10mm cushion cut CZ stone?
The file I have added has a head i have made, but it is for a radiant, because thats all that was available. How do we do cushions?
Thanks...

Permalink Reply by Ken Sanders on January 15, 2011 at 6:38am For what it's worth, I always measure the side dimensions of the stone, then the point to point dimensions. This seems to give me an accurate result to model from. I don't rely on preset stones to model from as all cushion cuts seem to vary from stone to stone. It is pretty easy to loft a simple stone shape from a couple of curves and a point for the culet.
If you need more info on how to do this, let me know.
