I'm able to export it to STL without any problem. It could be something wrong with your Rhino. The STL file is about 40MB which I can not attach to this reply but you can download from this link:

my stl came in at 4mb

Hi Pat,

I exported this STL with 0.001mm tolerance. Do you think it is over killed ? I'm really not sure how the tolerance will effect the quality of the milled piece hence I go with the max... Love to hear from your opinion.

With another sample (not using 3d texture), the export in stl file works perfectley

i can open both file you send me (whit mini magics) but the problem is that both surfaces (texture and ring) are not fusioned.

can you tell me how can i fusionned those two objects?

you can use .1-.01 should be fine for milling...also for milling purposes you do not have to join or 'fuse' or make 'watertight'
